Mubarak, Lebanese parliament speaker discuss situations in Lebanon

Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak on Tuesday in Cairo met with the speaker of the Lebanese parliament Nabih Berri, currently visiting Egypt to take part in the conference of the Islamic Parliaments Union.

The conferences started its deliberations on Monday.

Talks dealt with the situation in Lebanon following the great victory Lebanon had achieved over the Israeli occupation forces as well as the need of backing Lebanon to rebuild what the Israeli occupation forces had destroyed in 22 years of aggressions and occupation.

They also stressed the importance of the Arab common action within the framework of the Organization of the Islamic Conference OIC to unify all potentials to confront all challenges that face the Arab and Islamic nation.

Meantime, during his meeting with members of the Lebanese- Egyptian society of Businessmen, on Monday, the speaker of the Lebanese parliament stress that peace in the Middle East should be just and comprehensive.
