Syria, FAO signed agricultural cooperation agreement

Minister of agriculture Asaad Mustafa and the representative of FAO in Damascus, Mustafa Sinaser on Monday evening in Damascus signed an agreement between Syria and FAO to implementing the technical assistance project for combating livestock diseases, which is financed by FAO at a cost of US $ 259,000.
This project, which will be implemented within one year, aims at boosting the capability of technicians at the livestock health directorate at the Syrian ministry of agriculture to making a survey on certain livestock disease.
The signing ceremony was attended by the deputy minister of agriculture and several central directors at the ministry.
