Arab proposal to convene a UN terrorism-fighting conference

The secretary general of the council of the Arab ministers of the Interior Ahmad Bin Muhammad has stated that there are current contacts between the council and the UN to convene an international conference for fighting terrorism under the umbrella of the UN.
In a statement to Sawt al-Arab radio, the council's secretary general added that during works of the third Arab conference for officials in charge of terrorism fighting, currently held in Tunisia, stress was laid on the need of strengthening cooperation between citizens and the security forces in order to eliminate terrorism and to exchange information between the Arab states to this effect.
