Israeli- Jordanian water cooperation

The Jordanian weekly al-Sabeel said that Israel has proposed to give Jordan aids to implement the project for transporting the waters of al-Deisi basin in Southern Jordan to the capital Amman, under the condition that Israel to stop to supply Jordan with amounts of waters from Tiberies Lake.
The paper added that the question of the Israeli help in implementing the project was discussed between officials from the Jordanian and Israeli governments during the two past months, especially following increasing talks on Israel's intention to stop pumping the amounts of waters agreed upon by the two sides.
