Morocco announces 50% abatement on customs duties for least developed african countries

Products coming from least developed African countries will be given a 50% abatement on customs duties in Morocco, the Moroccan customs authority announced on Monday.
The decision comes in implementation of the king's pledge last May in the Euro-African summit in Cairo that Morocco will grant preferential treatment to goods from least developed African countries. The king also announced that Morocco will write off all poorest African countries debts' owed to Morocco.
