Princess Lalla Hasna launches environment projects in Safi

Princess Lalla Hasna, sister of Morocco's King Mohammed VI, on Monday launched two environment projects in the coastal city of Safi, 350 km south of Rabat.
The first $ 350,000 project, to be completed in six months, consists of purchasing three waste dumping devices or similar machines for the disposal of domestic wastes and other equipment to consolidate the local waste disposal facilities.
The project also seeks to promote the city sewage system and the rehabilitation of degraded road networks.
The second $ 170,000 project includes the planting of an olive tree belt around the chemical plants of the city, to meant to stop the extension of the city southward, where the plants are located, and improve air quality in the area.
