Queen Rania begins a visit to Iran today

Queen Rania, wife of Jordan's King Abdullah II, is visiting Iran today, which speaks of the improvement in Jordanian - Iranian relations. The visits last for two days.
Rania is to hold talks with wife of the Iranian President Zahra Khatamy, the president's advisor for the women's affairs concerning issues of children's care and means of treating problems confronting orphans.
This is the first time in which the wife of an Iranian president - since 1979 - invites the wife of an Arab president to visit Iran, knowing that the Iranian president's wife does not participate in the formal protocol.
Queen Rania is to visit Amena assembly for orphans in Tehran and the Iranian jewelry museum in which most of the jewelry's used to belong to the family of Mohammed Reda Bahlawi, the former Iranian Shah.
