Establishing 6 new petroleum refinery in Iraq

Amer Rashid the Iraqi petroleum minister assured that Iraq is establishing 6 small petroleum refineries, the first of which is to begin later in the current month.
He said there is a new refinery with capacity of 10,000 barrels daily that will be established in Pigi city 220 kilometers north Baghdad.
He clarified that Iraq began establishing those refineries according to the instructions of the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein. He did not refer to the location or capacity of the other refineries.
