Saudi- Kuwaiti joint statement on bilateral cooperation

Kuwait and Saudi Arabia have underlined the importance of cooperation and solidarity among the Arab and Islamic states and to strengthen the march of cooperation and integration among the Gulf Cooperation Council GCC member states so as to serves the GCC peoples and strengthening security and stability in the region.

In a joint statement which was released in conclusion of the visit held by the Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz for Kuwait on Monday, the two countries underlined the importance of strengthening cooperation and solidarity among the Arab and Islamic states.

The statement indicated that talks on the bilateral level stressed the desire of the two states who are linked to kinship and fraternal ties and to remarkable relations to developing these relations and giving them a push forward in various fields and on all official and people's levels.

The statement indicated that the Saudi and Kuwaiti sides and in a sincere fraternal spirit discussed the questions of dividing the area adjoining the divided zones on the ground of their real desire to settle this issue of border demarcation so as to serve joint interests for the two brotherly peoples.

The Saudi crown prince, later in the day Monday, left Kuwait following a three-day official visit, during which he held talks with high ranking Kuwaiti officials dealt with bilateral relations and political developments in the Arab Gulf and Middle East region The spokesman for the Kuwaiti Emir's court said that the talks of the Saudi crown prince in Kuwait were held in an atmosphere of complete understanding on all debated issues.
