Mubarak-Abdullah talks serve high Arab interests, peace process

Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah, Ibn Abdul Aziz Deputy Premier and Chief of the National Guard , wound on Saturday a 3-day visit to Egypt .

Prince Abdullah, who is accompanied by a high-level delegation, had talks with President Hosni Mubarak on the latest developments on the Arab and regional arenas as well as the Mideast peace process on all tracks and means of bolstering Egyptian-Saudi relations in all fields.

Saudi newspapers on Friday said Mubarak and Abdullah stressed in Sharm El-Sheikh talks means to further bilateral relations and support by Egypt and Saudi Arabia for the nominated president of Syria Lt. General Bashar Al-Assad.

Saudi "Okaz" newspaper hailed relations between the two countries serve and said they the high interests of the Arabs and issues of peace and security in the region.

Abdullah today embarks on an official 2-day visit to Kuwait during which he will have talks with Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Jabir Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and other top officials.

Abdullah-Sabah talks will dwell on demarcation of maritime frontiers in the continental shelf of the Arabian Gulf. The two countries are seeking the brokering of a deal to demarcate borders in this area where Al-Darra gas field is located. Iran is competing with Kuwait and Saudi Arabia to this field.
