Morocco, Japan examine cooperation in fisheries

Means to enhance bilateral cooperation in the field of fishery were probed at a meeting here between a delegation of the Japanese international cooperation agency JICA) and Moroccan fishery minister, Thami El Khayari.
El Khayari invited Japanese partners to contribute to the Moroccan program geared towards fishery upgrading and development.
The two sides also surveyed the experience of Japan's-financed fishermen villages in South-Western Morocco and stressed the need for further cooperation in this field especially that Morocco projects to set up 75 fishermen villages part of the five-year development plan.
