Palestinian leadership: UN Resolution 242 is international and legal basis for the peace processes

The Palestinian leadership assured that the UN Security Council's resolution N 242 in considered the international and legal reference for the peace process that must be applied to the Palestinian - Israeli talks as it did apply to others (in reference to the successful Egypt -Israel talks and Lebanon recently).
In a statement issued last night following the weekly meeting in Ramallah city under the chairmanship of the Palestinian President Yasser Arafat, the leadership said that "the international resolutions No 242 and 338 are considered the two main elements in the Palestinian - Israeli peace negotiations."
