WB extends loans to Mali, Algeria, Tunisia

The World Bank announced on Wednesday a series of loans to Mali, Tunisia and Algeria to boost the economic situation in the three African countries.
Tunisia will get two loans worth $ 200 million to carry out a drinking water supply and an education projects.
The loan to Algeria, worth $ 97.6 million, will serve to finance a rehabilitation project for the earthquake-stricken region of Ain Temouchent, reform the telecommunication and posts sector and support the privatization program in the country.
Mali will get a $ 21 million loan to improve its financial sector competitiveness and performances, by supporting the country's private sector, improving the training of human resources and consolidating micro-loans organizations.
