Bashar al-Assad to the parliament: I will be in the nation's service

Syria's Lieutenant General Bashar al-Assad received yesterday evening People's Assembly Speaker Abdul Qader Qadoura who informed him of the Syrian parliament's consent to his nomination for president.
Official sources said that Bashar thanked members of the People's Assembly for their confidence, saying that he will be in the service of the people and the nation as well as their causes in any position that the people choose for him.
In this regard, the official newspapers started a campaign that urge on voting for Bashar al-Assad for president in the coming referendum.
