Iraqi farmers wounded in a Gulf war missile explosion

Some 15 Iraqi peasants were wounded in the province of al-Anbar when a missiles from the remains of the Gulf war of 1991 went off.

The Iraqi weekly al-Alaam issued by the information department at the faculty of literature said in its Wednesday's issue that the incident took place last week when farmers burnt the remains of woods to clear off weeds, noting that the explosion resulted in wounding all who were near the area, including two female children who were seriously wounded.

The paper explained that the incident took place in al-Tarrah village in al-Tharthar city in al-Anbar province. But the Iraqi paper did not indicate the type of this missile.
