Ethiopian, American, Eritrean experts meet in July

A governmental source in Addis Ababa said on Wednesday that experts from Ethiopia, Eritrea and the African Unity Organization and the US will meet by the beginning of July in Washington to discuss on means of implementing the cease- fire agreement signed on June 18 between Ethiopia and Eritrea.
AFP quoted the source as saying that the meeting is a sort of forum for consultation aims at discussing means of implementing arbitration and border demarcation between the two countries in a very short period of time besides estimating compensations for the costs of the war. The source indicated that the meeting will discuss means of shortening the period to implement all these operations. It added that the forum which is composed of lawyers is expected to submit proposals. It is presumed the Ethiopian authorities will delegate five lawyers from the ministries of the foreign affairs and justice, SANA reported.
Worthy mentioning that the Ethiopian minister of justice announced on June 22 that the indirect talks held in Algiers will be resumed at the level of experts by the beginning of July.
