Preparations for a high Qatari- Kuwaiti joint committee

Media sources have asserted that Kuwait will shortly host a meeting for a committee to prepare for establishing a Kuwaiti-Qatari higher committee.

A well-informed source for the London- based al-Hayat daily said that a preliminary committee in charge of drawing arrangements to this effect will meet in Kuwait in the next week of July under the chairmanship of the two acting secretary of the foreign ministries in Qatar and Kuwait Abdul Rahman al-Ateyah and Khaled al-Jarullah respectively.

Well-informed relations said that relations between Qatar and Kuwait have been revitalized. However, Khaled al-Jarullah had visited Doha several days ago in the framework of a tour covered the countries of the Gulf Co-operation Council.
