Egyptian sources deny convening tripartite summit

Egyptian diplomatic sources have denied arrangements for convening an Egyptian, Saudi and Syrian tripartite summit at the meantime.
The sources told the Kuwaiti daily al-Rai al-Am that Syria's preoccupation in rearranging conditions internally and as things are not yet settled with the new leadership awaiting for carrying out the referendum over the presidency of the designated President Bashar al-Assad.
The sources remarked the possibility of convening such a meeting after the end of the referendum measures in Syria and the meeting then will be made to evaluate the ME peace process as a whole and to discuss current proposals to resume the peace talks between Syria and Israel.
The sources ruled out that Damascus will accept returning back to the table of negotiations without a prior Israeli commitment to be ready to return back to June 4 border lines of 1967.
The sources stressed a united Arab and Egyptian stand states the importance of ensuring all forms of backing to Syria under her new leadership and her right to reach a just settlement according to UN security council resolutions 242 and 338 and the land for peace formula.
The sources stressed that Israel attempts of deception will be futile because these attempts are rejected on the Syrian and Arab levels. The sources said that Israel's greedy demands to have sovereignty over the waters of the Tiberies have been defused.
