Iran for good relations with the Arab states

Iranian President Muhammad Khatami has expressed Iran's appreciation to the Lebanese resistance which forces the Israeli forces to withdraw from South Lebanon. He also expressed his hope that aggressions will not be renewed, Israel's aggression to be ended forever against Lebanon. He noted that he will visit Lebanon at a proper time.

In a statement to the London-based al-Hayat daily issued on Monday, the Iranian President said that the ME peace process will not achieve its objectives without returning back the usurped rights and rights.

On Iranian- Arab relations, President Khatami said that Iran has pursued a successful policy towards eliminating the reasons of tension in the region and that Iran has good relations with the countries of this region. He said the hostilities used to prevail in the former stage have been converted to friendship and " our hands are extended to our brothers in the region. We are optimistic over continuous and promotion of the economic and social growth and the realization of security and stability in the region."
