The Saudi royal decree said that reaching this treaty came on the ground of the remarkable fraternal relations between the two states leaderships and the care stemmed from strengthening relations between the Yemeni and Saudi peoples and their mutual care to find out a durable solution to the question of land and sea borders between their two countries, dedicated by the Taif accord signed between the two countries in 1934.
