Arab games for mentally- handicapped next October

Morocco will play host to the Middle East and North Africa games for mentally-handicapped athletes next October 11-15.

The event, which is organized by Morocco's Olympics Special committee in cooperation with International Olympics Special, will be attended by more than 400 athletes representing 19 Arab countries.

The games includes four disciplines namely athletics, basketball, football and table tennis.

As part of preparations for the competition, Moroccan executives are attending a training session in Rabat this June 22-26 in cooperation with US experts from the international Special Olympics.

The Morocco's Special Olympics will hold on June 27 in Rabat national games for the mentally-handicapped persons to select the national team which will represent Morocco in the Arab games.
