Sponsorship campaign for Moroccan poor children launched in Paris

The Moroccan association for development, assistance and economic, social and cultural sponsorship has launched a sponsorship campaign in Paris meant to assist poor children in Morocco.

The children sponsors, who will pay FF 80 a month to cover schooling and clothing charges of needy children, can enter into contact with the sponsored child, follow up school progress and provide him with assistance and advice in his studies.

The campaign, launched a few months ago throughout Morocco, covered a hundred of children and intends to cover over one thousand child in the next school year and more than ten thousand children by 2003, said President of the association, Lahcen Mahraoui.
