Moroccan enterprise association gets new chairman

Hassan Chami was elected Friday chairman of the Moroccan employers association (Confederation general des Entreprises du Maroc).
Chami, 62, replaces Abderrahim Lahjouji at the head of CGEM.
He said his first action would be to set up a performing bureau to meet the grievances expressed by several heads of enterprises during his election campaign and endeavor to settle problems facing Moroccan enterprises.
He added that a general restructuring of the Moroccan productive fabric is needed, pleading for permanent dialogue with the government.
