Royal advisor underscores importance of king's call for new partnership between Morocco and USA

Andre Azoulay, advisor to King Mohamed VI, stressed on Friday the importance of the call launched by King Mohammed VI for a new economic partnership between Morocco and the USA.
In a statement to "Medi 1" radio station, the royal advisor recalled that the call comes in continuation of similar positions expressed the sovereign in his recent visit to Paris for a new partnership with Morocco.
Regarding the evolution of Morocco-US economic relations which knew in the last ten years a "significant leap" in terms of trade and investments, Azoulay, who underscoring the kingdom's economic assets, said more and more US tourists are coming to Morocco while investors are also intensifying their visits to Morocco to explore the market.
Morocco stands as a platform for exports and (economic activity) devolution in the region, he said citing Morocco's proximity to Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He added that the kingdom boasts a strategic position that Americans are discovering as an open market that adheres to World economy.
In another interview with "The Voice of America," the advisor pleaded for a Morocco-US partnership that respects Morocco's specificities and called US investors to adopt towards Morocco a different approach from that adopted for other north African countries.
Azoulay also recalled the laudatory words that US President Bill Clinton had for the Moroccan King.
Andre Azoulay was member of the official delegation which accompanied King Mohammed VI in his first state visit to the USA this June 20-23.
