All Sudanese jailed military men to be freed
Sudan, Politics, 6/24/2000
A Sudanese official source said that Sudanese military men who were jailed after carrying out acts against the government will be freed very soon.
The Sudanese official source explained that those military men will be released according to the general amnesty released by the Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir.
The Sudanese news agency quoted an official at the prisons administration, whose identity was not disclosed as saying that his department received a list including the names of all those jailed military men in preparation for their release, according to the Presidential amnesty.
The same official did not clarify the accusations these military men were charged for, nor their number. He said there is not, even one civilian, arrested for political reasons in the Sudanese jails.
