Pilot project on management of hospital sharp trash launched in Meknes

A pilot project on the management of hospital sharp trash was launched Thursday at the Mohammed V hospital in Meknes, 170 KM north-east of Rabat, under the chairmanship of Princess Lalla Hasna, youngest sister of King Mohammed VI.
The project, to be generalized to other hospitals throughout Morocco, will use safe means to store and process sharp refuse (syringe needles, perfusion needles, surgical knives`) The refuse will be stored in containers before being conveyed to the incinerator of a local cement plan.
Princess Lalla Hasna is currently chairing a nationwide campaign for the preservation and protection of environment staged under the motto "Together for our environment."
