Arab and foreign companies invest in Iraqi free zones

It was said in Baghdad that U.S companies signed contracts with Iraq for investment in the Iraqi free zones.

Bestam Aboud El-Ganabi, the general manager of the free zones organization said that Saudi, Jordanian, Emirate, U.S, Swedish and Indian companies signed contracts with Iraq to invest and develop in these zones. The Iraqi official did not specify the names of these companies, referring that the organization seeks to attract international trade groups and industrial companies that are known for advanced technologies to work in the free zones.

Iraq has decided to open many free zones in the north and south, the most important to which is in Om Kasr harbor for imports and export which is Iraq's main harbor in the Arab Gulf.
