Saudi Arabia ratified border agreement with Yemen

In its meeting held on Monday and chaired by King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz, the Saudi Cabinet ratified the border demarcation agreement signed last week between al-Riyadh and Yemen. The agreement ultimately settled border disputes between the two states.
The Saudi News Agency quoted the Saudi King as saying that the border agreement " treaty reflected an example to be followed in dealing among brothers in settling issues as such for the benefits and security of the two countries. An agreement which would open further prospects for cooperation in the interests of the two peoples, countries and the Arab and Islamic nations, alike."
In conclusion of the cabinet session, the Saudi minister of information Fuad Abdul Salaam al-Farisi said that " the Cabinet approved the final and durable international border treaty of lands and sea lines between Saudi Arabia and Yemen,.
In Sanaa, the Yemeni News Agency Sabaa said that the Yemeni Cabinet will discuss the border agreement today and will be submitted to the Parliament for approval.
Last Monday, al-Riyadh and Sanaa signed in Jeddah an agreement provided for putting an end to their border disputes which lasted for decades.
