Egypt has 101 industrial zones

Egypt's Prime Minister Atef Ebeid on Friday met with the popular and executive readerships of Ismailia Governorate, with a number of Cabinet Ministers and Governor Fouad Saadeddin attending.
Ebeid conveyed President Hosni Mubarak's greetings to the people of Ismailia and said his current visit to the Governorate has left him with the impression that all are seriously seeking to realize a better future.
Speaking of Egypt's development drive, Ebeid said the country possesses the potential to add a new area of cultivable land one quarter that of the grown acreage, in addition to adding new areas of tourist development five-fold those already developed.
"The peace we have been enjoying for the past 25 years feeds our optimism about a better future under the Leadership of President Mubarak," Ebeid said.
During the meeting Ebeid agreed to grant companies investing in the Technology Valley, East of Ismailia, certain privileges by way of encouragement.
Dr. Ebeid also agreed to designate 10,000 feddans East of Ismailia for setting up a new urban community, along with appropriating funds for completing a new general hospital in Ismailia.
The Prime Minister said the volume of funds deposited in the Egyptian banks has increased by 10-fold in less than 15 years, adding Egypt has 101 industrial zones.
Dr. Ebeid said Egypt has started to export excess electricity, adding Egypt also has many natural gas discoveries. He said the upcoming stage would witness appropriating more funds and resources for deepening our presence on foreign markets.
The Prime Minister visited the Educational Complex in Ismailia which is established on 130 feddans. He also visited new public hospital in Ismailia . He also inaugurated Charity Complex which was established by self efforts in Ismaelia.
