On the new changes in Syria

The London-based al-Sharq al-Awsat daily said in its today's issue that observers expect that the current member of the Party's regional leadership Saeed Hammadi will have the post of the Assistant Regional Secretary of the Baath Party.

Observers also expect that among candidates for the new Baath Party regional leadership is the prime minister Muhammad Mustafa Miro, his deputy for services Naji al-Otari, the foreign minister Farouk al-Shara, the information minister Muhammad Omran, the minister of higher education Hassan Resheh, the minister of local administration Salaam Yassin, the minister of education Mahmoud al-Sayed, the governor of al-Quneitra Walid al-Bouz, the secretary of Damascus university branch of the Baath Party Farouk Abu al-Shaamat, member of the Damascus branch of the Baath party Fawzi al-Joudeh and former deputy governor of Damascus Munzir Karkutli.
