President Clinton lauds Morocco's democratization efforts

U.S President Bill Clinton on Wednesday lauded Morocco's action to lay down the foundations of democracy, consolidate pluralism and promote economic and social development.
Clinton made the statement, while receiving the credentials of Morocco's new ambassador to the USA, Abdellah Maaroufi.
Clinton, who recalled the close friendship ties he had with the Late King Hassan II, said he is looking forward to receiving King Mohammed VI next week in Washington.
The US president also voiced confidence in Morocco's assets and stressed the US administration's will to accompany Morocco in its march towards progress.
