Algeria, Business, 6/16/2000
Official Algerian sources in the Algerian health ministry said that the French medicine industry group 'Biar Fabr', the Danish 'Nomo Nordisk' and the Algerian 'Sedal' will cooperate in building a medicine factory in Tezi Orozo region.
The investment in this factory which will be located in Wadi Esah is nearly estimated at 55 million dollars.
This project comes as a result of an agreement that was signed in 1998 among the two European groups and the formal Algerian company Sedal.
The trio group named the new company 'Daf' and will start operations during the coming weeks.
The factory will produce 70 different medications and production will begin in 2001 for medications taken by injection and ointments, and oral-type medication production starts in year 2002.
