Sudan, Economics, 6/16/2000
The mission of the International Monetary Fund which ended a visit to Khartoum considered the performance of the Sudanese economy through the said program of being satisfying whether concerning the plans or paying debts.
They also warned of the increased inflation index which requires more reforms.
In its annual revision of the Sudanese economy, the International Monetary Fund said that "the Sudanese economy will remain in the near future an agricultural economy that basically suffers a lack of finance sources and a weakness in the basic structure as well as retreat in the goods prices which the countries export ."
Sudanese reforms approved by the fund resulted in the stability of the exchange price and enabled Sudan to collect small amount of foreign currency reserves.
