Football: Morocco starts campaign for 2002 world cup qualification

Morocco will play Sunday its first preliminary heats match for the 2002 World Cup against Namibia in Windhoek.

The Moroccan team will be handicapped by the absence of several injured players.

Morocco and Namibia are drawn in the same group with Algeria, Senegal and Egypt.

Algeria will play Senegal on Friday in Annaba, while Egypt is exempt.

After Namibia, Morocco will receive Algeria in Casablanca next July 9.
