Albright: I felt very encouraging indicators on Bashar's intention to peace

US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright said on Tuesday after meeting with Bashar al-Assad that she has felt encouraging elements from him towards the ME peace process.
Albright, who came to Damascus to offer condolences on the demise of the late president said in press statements " I felt very encouraging indicators revealing Dr. Bashar's al-Assad's desire to pursue his father's policy, who ( President al-Assad) who had taken a strategic decision in the interest of peace in the region." She added that Bashar al-Assad is determinant and ready to complete his duties. Albright said that talks with Bashar dealt with the possibility of continuing talks on the peace process at due time.
On succession of the late president to presidency Albright saw it as peaceful and in regular. Bashar al-Assad had met with Albright after she had offered condolences on the demise of President al-Assad.
She had stopped for a while before the coffin of the late president at one of al-Shaab palace halls, wearing a black hat and a white scarf.
