Mubarak, Arafat discuss negotiations, Post-Assad situation

Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak held on Monday talks with Palestinian Leader Yasser Arafat and tackled developments of the Middle East peace process after the death of Syrian President Hafez Al-Assad and the Palestinian- Israeli final status negotiations as well as the expected summit grouping Arafat, US President Bill Clinton and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak.
The session was then enlarged to include Presidential Political Adviser Osama Al-Baz, Secretary of Executive Committee at the Palestinian Liberation Organisation (PLO) Mahmoud Abu Mazen, Palestinian Finance Minister Mohammed Zohdi Al-Nashashibi, Palestinian Ambassador in Cairo Zuhdi Al-Qedra and Arafat's Press Advisor Nabil Abu Redeina.
