Al-Shara confers with Nasrullah
Syria-Lebanon, Politics, 6/13/2000

The Syrian foreign minister farouk al-Shara on Monday in Damascus received the secretary general of the Lebanese Hizbullah party Hussein Nasrullah and members of the party's leadership.

During the meeting Nasrullah and members of the accompanying delegation offered condolences on the demise of President Hafez al-Assad.

They praised the late president's militant traits and his continued defense of the rights of the Arabs and Muslims. They asserted that by pursuing President al-Assad's policy that will be embodied by his son, Bashar, Syria will eliminate the catastrophe of the president's death.
