Mubarak witnesses prophet's birthday celebrations

Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak attends the Awqaf (endowments) Ministry Celebrations of Prophet Muhammad's birthday next Wednesday.
Mubarak will deliver a speech on the occasion and honor eight top Muslim scholars from Egypt and Arab states.
Mubarak will stress in his speech importance that Islamic countries keep up with the technology age and follow in Prophet Mohammed's footsteps, an Egyptian statement said.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Atef Ebeid, on behalf of President Mubarak, will inaugurate proceedings of the 12th Conference of the Supreme' Council for Islamic Affairs.
The four-day conference will be held under the motto "Towards a cultural project for Muslim World Upsurge."
