Moroccan- Algerian talks on territory planning, environment in Algiers

Moroccan and Algerian ministers in charge of territory development, environment, and urbanism, Mohamed El Yazghi and Mohamed Boughazi, exchanged viewpoints on Thursday in Algiers on the two states' experience in matters of territory planning and environment protection.
The Algerian official expounded his country's experience regarding a lasting and integrated development of the southern areas of Algeria through the activation of "the South Development Fund" while El Yazghi spoke of Morocco's territory development strategy and of the preparations underway for holding a national conference on territory development.
The two sides also discussed their respective experiences in environment protection and stressed the need to exchange expertise at Maghreban and international scales.
El Yazghi is attending in Algeria the Arab Thought Forum conference held in Algiers June 10-12.
The Amman-based forum is chaired by Prince Hassan bin Talal of Jordan and musters several Arab outstanding personalities including Ministers, academicians and businessmen.
