Israel annexes tens of dunnums from South Lebanon
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 6/9/2000
Lebanon has asserted its inalienable right to Shebaa farms and the three border points in Ramish, al-malta and al-Adesah which are still under Israeli occupation.
Meantime, the Israeli occupation forces continued to obstruct works of the UN forces in South Lebanon UNIFIL under the claims that it had withdrawn from all the Lebanese territories.
The Lebanese judiciary, continued investigations with members of the hireling Lahd militias. It was reported that other three Lahd militias surrendered themselves to UNIFIL in al-Naqoura, whom by their turn handed them to the Lebanese security sources.
Detailed reports from South Lebanon said the Israeli government continued it claims that it had continued from the Lebanese territories into the international borders, ignoring its annexation of tens of dunums of the Lebanese territories.
The Israeli government gave UNIFIL on Thursday its reply to the orders set by the UN on Israel's annexation of Lebanese territories of Maskaf Aam settlement. In a statement the Israeli government said it had asked UNIFIL working on Lebanon to confirm its withdrawal from South Lebanon according to UN security council resolution 425.
The Israeli government statement added that Israel had asked UNIFIL to dispatch teams to carry out the investigations which prove that Israel has repositioned on the international borders according to UN resolution 425.
This statement constitutes Israel's only reply to the UN which the UN was waiting for from the Israeli government over Israel's exceeding of the Lebanese territories at Maskaf Aam settlement in order to start the investigation process of Israel's withdrawal from South Lebanon.
