Those who enforce the law should obey it themselves, Palestinian police director says

Director of the Palestinian police General Ghazi El-Jebali issued instructions to all the police leaderships to obey the law themselves.

Calling that both the citizen and the police should observe the law, he said that obeying the law should be the foundation of the relation between the police and citizens.

El-Jebali added that arbitrary detentions and inspections of citizens homes must be done according to proper (Judicial) permits.

He blamed the current abuses on those who overstep their authority adding "we must be careful in applying the law and protecting the citizens rights through the law only and in a civilized manner."
