Israeli settlers attack Lahd hirelings in their camp in Akka
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 6/8/2000

Several Israeli settlers in the city of Akka attacked on Wednesday the Lahd militia members who live in a camp run by the Israeli army in the city.

The Hebrew Language Israeli army radio said the attackers threw at Lahd militia members stones and empty glass bottles, chanting slogan against them as " cheap agents and go back from where did you come."

The radio added the Israeli police interfered and imposed a siege around the camp of the Lahd militia to prevent such attacks from happening again against them by the Israelis who refuse to give them shelter in their cities and villages.

On the other hand, the Israeli authorities try to give shelter to the Lahd militia members who fled to Israel in the Arab villages in the northern part of the territories of 1948 ( in Israel) but the populations of these villages refused this measure categorically.
