PFLP Secretary General denies knowing Iranian dissident
Palestine, Politics, 6/7/2000
Secretary General of the public front for liberation Palestine in Damascus Ahmed Jabril replied to accusations by the Iranian dissident Ahmed Bahbahani saying "I do not know him and I never met him anywhere and his testimony he gave to the mass media is not based on anything concerning Iran's or the public front's involvement."
Jabril added that this is "one of the script that fits fiction movies for that Bahbahani or 'Bani Sadr' -- Iran's former president who is currently in France -- want to nail down the Islamic revolution in Iran."
Jabril added - concerning the international court in Holland dealing with the Lockerbie case - "we trust it as it has all the files and I do not think that such allegations (are) capable of convicting us as we in the front are not responsible for the accident."
Jabril said "we do not have any security or military cooperation with Iran and the relations between us and Iran do not exceed the political and the social relations."
