Mubarak addresses Higher Council for Islamic Affairs Conference

"President Hosni Mubarak addresses the inaugural session of the 12th Higher Islamic Affairs Council," said Egypt's Waqfs Minister Mahmoud Hamdy Zaqzouq during a Press Conference.
Prime Minister Atef Ebeid will read out the speech on behalf of President Mubarak, added Zaqzouq.
The Conference, due to be held in Cairo on June 11-14, will deal with the scientific domain, employment of technology in the Islamic world and cooperation between the Islamic countries and the advanced states.
Holding the 12th Conference in Egypt comes due to Egypt's pioneering role in the region and Al Azhar's vital role in the Arab and Islamic world.
Grand Imam of A1 Azhar Mohammed Sayed Tantawi, Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Maguid, Higher Education Minister Mofid Shehab and Pope Shenouda III will also address the Conference.
Around 104 public figures are participating in the conference, added Zaqzouq.
On the other hand, President Mubarak witnesses Egypt's celebration marking Prophet Muhammad's Birthday.
The celebration will be held by the Ministry on June 14 at the Cairo International Conference center (CICC ).
