Moroccan official meets executives of Korean leading groups

Moroccan minister of industry, trade and handicraft held talks in Seoul with senior executives of Korean leading groups, such as Samsung, L.G. Electronics, Hyundai and Daewoo.
The meetings, held on the sidelines of the 3rd session of the Moroccan-Korean joint commission -convened in Seoul May 31-June 3-surveyed the investment opportunities offered by Morocco and reforms enforced to foster competitiveness and attract more investors, a release by the ministry of industry, trade and handicraft said.
The Moroccan official urged his Korean interlocutors to integrate Morocco in their growth and foreign investment strategies and laid a special emphasis on Morocco's industrial potentials and incentives provided by the free-trade zones Morocco set up with several countries. These zones, he said, make of the kingdom a platform to conquer new markets in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
The Korean groups showed willingness to explore investment opportunities mainly in the sectors of car industry and electronic devices.
Korean delegations will visit Morocco over the coming months for further contacts with Moroccan economic operators and decision-makers, the release said.
