Turkey, Israel renovate tanks

The Turkish daily "daily news " said on Monday the Turkish defense ministry offered the Israeli military industries group a contract to modernize 170 "M 60" tanks.
The paper explained that the value of this contract reaches US $ 170 million and it falls in the framework of a program to develop and modernize Turkish tanks, noting the cost of this project might exceed US $ one billion.
Meantime, the Israeli daily Haartez noted the winning of the Israeli military industries group of this bid. The Israeli paper added that this renovation will cover 200 Turkish tanks, adding that both the Turkish prime minister and the defense minister took the final decision to this effect during their meeting on Friday.
