Ahmed Jabreel visits the liberated areas in south Lebanon
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 6/5/2000

The secretary general of the public front for liberating Palestine 'Ahmed Jabreel visited today the separating strip between Lebanon and Israel.

During the visit, he assured that "the front will continue its support to the Lebanese after achieving the victory against Israel and forced it to withdraw from south Lebanon."

He denounced the Palestinian president's policy and asked him to resign immediately adding that he did not achieve any gains for the Palestinian people according to the peace tracks. He said that Arafat conspired against the Palestinian uprising by holding the Oslo agreement with the Israelis where Israel would have been forced to withdraw from the West Bank and Gaza just like it did in south Lebanon.

He added that the proper way for resisting Israel is the armed struggle. He also accused Arafat of accepting a deal through which he will give up Jerusalem and the refugees' right to return home, and that the Palestinian authority will get a country that lacks sovereignty and that neither has the right to establish an army nor control its borders with the neighboring countries.
