Yemen: One demonstrator, three soldiers killed in confrontation

One demonstrator and three soldiers were killed in armed confrontation between military forces and citizens in a town in South Yemen, according to a tribal source in Yemen on Sunday Confrontation, resulted in wounding seven soldiers on Saturday were erupted in Jalash town in al-Daleh province, 100 Km to the north of Aden.

The same source remarked that the demonstrators opened fire on the soldiers ( military-men) after the latter killed on Thursday one of the town's citizen and wounded another on their way back from a rally held by an opposition party in a neighboring town.

Al-Daleh province where the army is intensively deployed is facing regular confrontation between the soldiers and the citizens since July 1998.

Civilians in this town protest against the lack of security and the security force resorting to violence.
