Barak and Levy: door of peace is not completely closed off with Syria
Syria-Israel, Politics, 6/3/2000
Israel's Prime Minister Ehud Barak said that the door of negotiations is not totally closed with Syria.
In statements he made on Friday at the inauguration of the Israeli labor party center, quoted by the Israeli radio, Barak added that Israel honors the Syrian sovereignty and Syria's dignity.
Meantime, the Israeli foreign minister David Levy said that chances of resuming negotiations between Syria and Israel are still valid.
He expected that these negotiations will be resumed after internal matters will be clarified in Syria.
