Israel announces thousands buildings in the Golan, Jerusalem

In a step which stresses Israel's expansionist and settlement policy, in contradiction to UN resolutions, the Israeli settlement ministry on Thursday released bids to expand Katsrin settlement in the occupied Syrian Golan heights.
Sources at the said Israeli ministry said that the new settlement plan falls in the course of a projects includes the building of new 200 residential units the Israeli government announced to launch in April.
Meantime, The chairman of the Israeli settlements in the Golan Sami Barleive expressed his satisfaction over the new settlement plan. He expected that the Israeli settlers will instantly respond to the said building bid.
Barleive unveiled continued works of Israeli settlement expansion in the occupied Golan noting that the infrastructures for these residential units have been completed.
Meantime, and in an attempt to Judaize the occupied city of Jerusalem and to changing its demography, the Israeli government continued building of settlements already started by Netanyahu especially on the strategic Abu Ghneim mountain. In this respect, the chairman of the municipality of Jerusalem Ehud Olmert has inaugurated a new residential quarters in that mountain.
The Israeli housing minister Yitzhak Levy said that the Abu Ghneim building project which started under the Israeli government of Netanyahu and continued under Barak has attained a great success, noting that more than 1400 new settlement units as a first phase, and that other 200 units will be built very soon while preparations are underway to allocate necessary sums for building more 600 residential units at that area.
